We were incredibly fortunate to be invited to take part in BBC Introducing’s 10th Anniversary celebrations. BBC Radio Norfolk have always been extremely generous and supportive of our musical adventures over the years: Eight years ago we sent them a copy of our debut album, and it was the start of a beautiful relationship. They began by writing about our adventures in Japan, and have since aired loads of our tracks, interviewed us countless times, and made Hummingbird ‘Track of the Week’  in September. They even helped us to gain national airplay through BBC Radio 6. Perhaps though, our latest adventure together was the most enjoyable yet!

Long time BBC Introducing DJ Sophie Little visited our family home in Norfolk to meet our parents and see where we grew up. She sat down for a cupper with mum and dad, and heard about our earliest musical endeavors; village fete gigs, and hilariously bad reviews! We then surprised our parents live on air from Tokyo, and performed Over Romantic live for Chrissie Jackson’s Mid Morning Show – who just so happens to be our favorite childhood DJ! It was perfect.

In addition to all this Beeb attention, the same live track was also aired on the BBC Introducing in Norfolk show on Sunday! That’s a whole lotta love! 🙂

We’d like to say a massive thank you to Gary Standley and all of the lovely people at BBC Introducing in Norfolk for setting it up, and another big thank you to Sophie for being so lovely about us on air. You can listen to the action for a limited time on the BBC iPlayer. If you’ve already missed it, we’ve documented everything in the YouTube video above.
